PUPILS’ SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY

Many pupils of our Gimnaziya are interested not only in their everyday studies but they also devote much time to the activities of the Pupils’ Scientific Society. Its members are the students of the 9th – 11th forms of our Gimnaziya. The activities of the Society are divided into three sections:

- the English Language section;
- the English and American Literature section;
- the French Language section.

All sections do a lot but one of the most important events is an annual Pupils’ Scientific Conference. It is usually held at the end of the academic year as a result of the work done. The problems discussed at the Conferences are quite different, each year has some definite theme. Judging by the diversity of the topics the students get an opportunity to share their opinion on any theme they prefer. At the Conference the students demonstrate not only their knowledge of English or French but their ability in making multimedia presentations. It gives them a chance to practice their knowledge of computers as well.
At the end of the conference we choose the best projects. They are of great help both to the teachers and to the students. The teachers can use them in their work during the lessons and the students use these projects as examples for their own ones. The fact that the best works are usually chosen helps the students to realize the importance of the work done. We were able to name the best students not from the very beginning because of the lack of experience. At the time being we’ve got rather a long list of projects suitable for use in class.

2. Осипова Всеволода, ученика 8а, награжден двухнедельной поездкой в Канаду.

3. Пономареву Алену, ученица 9 в класса и Ивашникова Дениса, ученика 10а класса, награждены годичным обучением в США (по линии Flex)
